A cheerful return to blogging

Welcome to Celtic Family Chronicles, a freshly-pressed family history website where i’ll explore the lives and stories of our ancestors. That’s Celtic with a hard ‘c’ as in the Celts, rather than soft like the ‘Boston Celtics’: our family hails from Scotland and Ireland, and it seemed a fun way to capture that.

I’m new to family history blogging and I’m still setting things up, so things are looking a bit bare at the moment. However, I plan to write about who my ancestors were, what they did, where they lived. I may also write about my – sometimes haphazard – approach to geneaology research.

This has been a project i’ve wanted to tackle for a long time. I’ve never felt quite ready and never felt like my research was complete enough to get started. However, i’m feeling my age and time is against me. This year’s Cheer Peppers call to action was a nice incentive to just get started and see where the next thirty days take me.
